ECT's INtellECT® Service Delivery Platform
The INtellECT® Service Delivery Platform is designed as an unlimited, scalable server farm, utilizing open industry standards-based servers running Linux with carrier-grade redundant components. Within the INtellECT® Platform, the Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) is used for the communications between the individual servers and network elements.
The service applications in ECTXML® are run on Application Servers.
Separate Gateway Servers provide call control via ISUP, INAP (incl. CAMEL and MAP), SIP and/or IMS. All INtellECT® Gateways convert incoming signalling messages to a common SIP-based protocol used for all communications between the individual elements. Thus the INtellECT® Service Delivery Platform can be utilized both in a clean converged next-generation network as well as in any kind of hybrid network. As we own the protocol stacks, we also can make any modifications necessary to support proprietary variants of these protocols.
The Data Warehousing is based on state-of-the art Oracle® database clusters, web access via web server clusters.
To increase the capacity of any network element, e.g. INAP links, you simply add an additional server for this network element. In this manner, we have realized extremely large INtellECT® Service Delivery Platforms for over 4,000 calls per second.
