ECT has helped communications service providers (CSP) migrate business services from legacy platforms from amongst others, ALU, Broadsoft, Cisco, Ericsson, Genesys, Telsis, etc. In the past 18 months alone, ECT was awarded five contracts by major European network operators worth over 10 million euro. Three implementations have already been completed with the others to follow shortly.
The contracts include major migration projects with customers moving away from their legacy systems to ECT’s INtellECT® SDP. Many of the old solutions had reached end-of-life and were costly to maintain.
Each of the CSP’s also needed a platform that would provide all services together with its new IMS core respective VoLTE network. ECT provides solutions worldwide to customers with all kinds of IMS cores such as Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson as well as other next-generation softswitches from Metaswitch, Sonus, Huawei, etc.
These CSP’s chose ECT to migrate legacy intelligent networks and silo solutions to our INtellECT® Application Server and Media Server (MRF) enabling them to offer state-of-the-art cloud-based value-added services. In addition to enabling new services via its Service Creation Environment, the INtellECT® Service Delivery Platform (SDP) hosts multiple service applications such as cloud contact center and Virtual PBX solutions as well as carrier services including number portability with DNS & ENUM, access screening, carrier routing and fixed-mobile unification. This not only reduces costs, but also future proofs the networks at the same time.
The new contracts also include new innovative services based on WebRTC that will shake up the market. ECT’s WebRTC solution is integrated in existing service applications, such as their INtellECT® Virtual PBX, effECTive® Network-Based Contact Centers, effECTive® Number Translation Services, and effECTive® Interactive Voice and Visual Response, ready for immediate worldwide commercial launch.
