Capacity and Architecture
The INtellECT® IN has a modular structure that allows it to be expanded to virtually any capacity. It consists of one or more INtellECT® Service Control Point (SCP) gateways, and each gateway can process up to 500 IN messages per second. There is no limit to the number of gateways in an SCP (ECT has, for example, realised intelligent networks with over 1,500 calls per second).

The INtellECT® supports the standard Intelligent Network Application Protocol (INAP) CS1 and CS2, as well as CAMEL and GSM MAP. The smallest configuration has 16 INAP links and can be expanded as required. As the INtellECT® was entirely developed by ECT, we can at anytime adapt it to the requirements of the customer.

An IN based on the INtellECT® is generally realised in a so-called mated pair configuration. In such a configuration, there are two complete INtellECT® SCPs at two different locations connected via a redundant TCP/IP hub. Each SCP is dimensioned to accommodate the entire traffic load, and if one SCP should for any reason fail, the second SCP takes over all traffic without any down time. The n+n redundancy and high availability hardware components make the INtellECT® an extremely secure solution.

Callbacks: The INtellECT® IN platform can receive GSM MAP/USSD messages from the mobile subscriber and trigger the ECT IVR platform to initiate a callback.
 
Call-related data processing: The INtellECT® IN platform connects to external applications with an XML/SOAP interface, and all call-related data processed on the INtellECT® IN is transferable on an XML/SOAP interface.
 
Statistics: The ECT Prepaid Mobile Application provides a wide range of statistics via a web interface
