Features
For network integration, your principal concern in putting together a ring back tone solution is leg management (i.e., the ability to send a call to a service node or intelligent peripheral, which then plays the ring back tone during call setup and takes back the call as soon as the party answers). ECT supports several options for realising this, and so regardless of the type of switch you have, we offer a complete solution to conquer your leg management challenges.

One option is to realise the leg management via an intelligent network. In this scenario the ECT INtellECT® Intelligent Network does the leg management via INAP (Intelligent Network Application Part), using standard and/or proprietary INAP variants with an AutoCarrier® Softswitch as an intelligent peripheral to play the ring back tones. If you already have an intelligent network from a third party supplier, ECT can program the leg management and provide the service via the AutoCarrier® as an intelligent peripheral.

If your switch vendor has the Call Dropback feature within the mobile switching centre (MSC), ECT realises the ring back tone via the AutoCarrier® Softswitch as a service node.

Regardless of which option is more suitable, the ECT Ring Back Tone Application always includes an AutoCarrier® Softswitch with two fully redundant AutoCarrier® web/WAP Servers, and AutoCarrier® Data Warehousing with two fully-redundant SQL servers.

Your customers can subscribe and unsubscribe to the service via web, WAP, SMS, IVR (Interactive Voice Response)
 
Personalised ring back tone inbox lets your subscribers manage personal library
 
Use of wild cards (e.g., the song assigned to 49* by subscriber would be heard for all numbers from Germany)
 
Subscribers can assign songs to callers on individual or default basis
 
Multiple content provider support
 
The ECT Ring Back Tone Application seamlessly integrates with your portal allowing subscribers to have one single point of access
 
Purchasing via IVR: Each piece of content can be assigned an IVR order code made up of digits
 
IVR content browsing allows users to preview content, with the option of immediately purchasing the content they have heard
 
Purchasing via SMS: Subscribers can purchase content by sending the order code in an SMS to a short number defined by you, the carrier
 
Subscriber can purchase content via SMS and immediately assign it to a caller group
 
Full mobile access to the ring back tone portal is provided to subscribers through WAP
 
If applicable, the ECT Ring Back Tone Application interfaces with the carrier billing system to automatically process the subscription fee
 
Ring back tone usage statistics provided to you on daily and monthly basis
