German law concerning the sale, return and environmentally correct disposal of electric and electronic apparatus ("Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz-ElektroG”, 16 March 2005), as proclaimed in the Bundesgesetzblatt Part I, No. 17, 23 March 2005, page 762, places certain demands on manufacturers of such apparatus.

To comply with these regulations, European Computer Telecoms AG duly registered with the regulatory body, Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte-Register (EAR), on 23 November 2005.

Since 1 July 2006, all products of European Computer Telecoms AG fulfil, according to ElektroG §5 law, the requirements of EU directives 2002/96/EG (electric and electronic apparatus disposal) and 2002/95/EG (reduction of harmful substances in electric and electronic apparatus). Since January 2006, all products have been marked accordingly. The WEEE registration number of European Computer Telecoms AG is DE14101594.
