Dr Thomas

Dr. Thomas Hornung is deputy chairman of the
European Computer Telecoms Group’s Non-Executive
Board of Directors.
Dr. Hornung began his professional career at Siemens, covering the
IT, telecommunications, and media segment. In that capacity, he
was in charge of developing PBX switching systems and terminals.
Other positions Dr. Hornung held are head of PM + R & D for
environmental technology at Nixdorf Computer AG, head of product
management “Small Communication Systems” at Siemens
AG, and CTO of Debitel AG.
Dr. Hornung also worked in the department “Siemens Mobile” as
General Manager and Senior Vice President in charge of the
business segments “User Centric Phones,” “Accessory
Devices,” and “B2C eCommerce.”
His last
position was General Manager and Senior VP UMTS Terminals & End2End
Applications in the Siemens AG’s division “Information
and Communications Mobile.”
Dr. Thomas Hornung holds a Masters degree in physics and environmental
techniques, and he also earned a doctorate in the field of semiconductor
physics.

Wolfgang
Burghardt, Member of the Non-Executive

Wolfgang Burghardt serves as member of the European
Computer Telecoms Group’s Non-Executive Board of Directors.
Mr. Burghardt began his career as a professional in the department
“Maintenance Long-Distance Exchange Technology” at the
Hanover-based Telecommunications Office, Branch 1. Mr. Burghardt
then moved to the Darmstadt-based FTZ, a branch of Germany’s
national mail service Deutsche Post that used to regulate the specifications
of telephones operated on the network. There, he was responsible
for foreign exchange technology.
Other professional milestones included his contributions to the special
task force “Licensing for the mobile network D” at the
federal Ministry for Post and Telecommunications in Bonn, as well
as his project work for the operational trial “Intelligent Network
of the German Bundespost” at the technology centre in Darmstadt.
There, Mr. Burghardt worked in the segment Technical Services (today
known as T-Systems International T-Nova GmbH).
In his last position he was Head of the department “Technology
Intelligent Network” as Vice President “Production
and Services” at T-Com.
Wolfgang Burghardt holds an engineering degree with an emphasis
on electronic technology.

Frank
Lammers, Member of the Non-Executive

Frank Lammers is a member of the supervisory
board of the European Computer Telecoms Group (ECT).
Mr. Lammers began his professional career as marketing consultant
at Simon, Kucher & Partner GmbH, where he was in charge of the
acquisition and presentation of consulting projects at management’s
top level.
Mr. Lammers also held several other professional positions: At o.tel.o
Communications GmbH, he was key account manager for service provider
sales. In that capacity, he was responsible for establishing and expanding
the cooperation with service providers such as Debitel, Victor Vox,
and Talkline. As key account manager and, later, as sales director
for Energis Carrier Services‘ Central European division (Germany,
Austria and Switzerland), Mr. Lammers intensified the cooperation
with Europe’s new phone providers (Mannesmann, Arcor, E-Plus,
VIAG Interkom).
Mr. Lammers served as sales director for the cooperation partners
at GuideGuide AG. In that capacity, he was in charge of selecting
and acquiring high-level and top-level strategic partners.
His
last position was sales and content manager at CC-Chemplorer
GmbH.
Frank Lammers holds a degree in macroeconomics. He studied at the universities
in Freiburg, Vienna, and Mainz. |

Max Rueff,

Max Rueff is a member of the European Computer
Telecoms Group’s Non-Executive Board
of Directors. He also serves as Managing Partner of VCI Technoinvest
GmbH.
Mr. Rueff began his professional career at the Bayerische Vereinsbank,
where he spent ten years in charge of financing and service for
technology enterprises (especially the IT segment).
Before moving on to his current capacity, Mr. Rueff was a partner
at the Munich-based consulting firm Wesendonk & Partner. Among
other responsibilities, he was in charge of the support for start-up
and expansion enterprises, advising them in the area of capital
raising. While advising the Corporate Venture Capital unit at DaimlerChrysler
(1997-2001), Mr. Rueff in 1998 assumed his current position as Managing
Partner of VCI GmbH. VCI specialises on advising clients in technology
investments in Munich, with an emphasis on early-stage investments.
In 1999, he was one of the co-initiators of the private equity fund
series MPC Global Equity 1 – 5. With the Global Vision AG
accompanying it, the fund series has emerged as one of the major
fund-in-fund investment companies in Germany.
Mr. Rueff completed his economic studies (lic.oec HSG) at the University
of St. Gallen.
