ECT has a series of new innovative services based on WebRTC that will shake up the market. Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) simply allows the real-time communication capabilities of audio, video and data to be added to web browsers and native apps. ECT’s WebRTC solution is integrated in existing service applications such as their INtellECT® Virtual PBX, effECTive® Network-Based Contact Centers, effECTive® Number Translation Services, and effECTive® Interactive Voice and Visual Response, ready for immediate worldwide commercial launch. These applications come with real-time communication capabilities and enable CSPs to compete with OTT service providers. Several operators, for instance, have realized WebRTC-enhanced voice and video freephone. This innovative service combines conventional national freephone over 0800 numbers with worldwide voice and video access via WebRTC. In addition, it includes interactive voice and visual response as well as a web-based call center agent workplace for the processing of incoming voice and video calls via WebRTC.
ECT’s latest WebRTC-based application for Over-the-Top (OTT) Multimedia Telephony enables communications service providers to beat the OTT providers of VoIP telephony, like Skype or Viber, at their own game. The application includes a state-of-the-art Internet telephone available via a Google connector. A CSP’s subscriber can log on with his telephone number and make as well as receive voice and video calls in the browser of a PC anywhere in the world. The phone can also be made available via a mobile app. There are lots of unique features, such as video conferencing and video recording. Incoming calls can be signalled simultaneously at the Internet phone as well as at the subscriber’s mobile and/or fixed-line telephone.
About the INtellECT® WebRTC Solution
Our Visual Application Builder (VAB) is a browser-based graphical tool. Without deep programming knowledge, you can use the VAB to define new services using interactive voice and video response with ASR/TTS, PCI-compliant video and voice recording, intelligent queuing, call distribution, data read and write to any database available in the cloud, http(s) and SOAP/XML integration of web services, etc. The VAB also allows you to define and automatically generate a web user interface and/or Android app for the service. The interactive elements, like menus, prompts and data entry, are then realized not via voice, but rather visually on web pages. Your customer can still access the service via a phone with standard IVR, e.g. by dialing a geographical or service number. But he/she can use the web page or mobile app within the browser of his/her PC or smart device with voice/video communications via WebRTC.
With all these many options, we make it easy for you to realize commercial services with WebRTC.
